"MARATHI" SHORT STORY CONTEST.
"मराठी" लघुकथा स्पर्धा
On request from many interested writers, the last date to submit entries has been extended to 30 November 2025.If you can fully realize compelling concepts in few words, this is for you. This contest is being conducted to encourage, promote and to provide a new avenue for aspiring Marathi writers. Talented writers who have a flair for writing interesting, impressive, compelling cinematic stories should definitely participate.
The current contest is for stories written in "Marathi" only. In future we are going to conduct contest for "Hindi" stories. No experience is needed. If you think you can write a short story on compelling concepts, you can enter this contest. Your imagination and visualisation and the skill to capture that in few words is all you need.
This contest is held by "Creative Artists - A teamwork initiative for the creatively inclined" and Shivai Entertainments. This is a paid contest, where in the participant will have to pay a nominal fee to take part. This is to avoid spam and to make sure only writers who are serious about their craft can benefit.
This contest will be judged by two very talented and experienced individuals.
Urvi Bakshi is an accomplished marathi story, screenplay and dialogue writer. She has written screenplay & dialogues for Marathi serial "Tu Jivala Guntavave", Screenplay for Marathi serial "Sundari (Sun Marathi)" & Dialogues for Marathi serial "Jeev Maza Guntala "(Colours Marathi)" among other projects.
Aditya Ingale is an accomplished marathi writer & director. He has directed acclaimed Marathi movies like "Alibaba ani chalishitle chor", "Andhali Koshimbir and "Paulwaat". He has also written and directed newly released Marathi movie "Bin lagnachi goshta".

This contest is ideal for writers who can write compelling, interesting, cinematic ideas in few words.
Current contest is for stories written in "MARATHI" only.

After submission of registration form, we will send you guidelines and link of "Entry Form". This will be sent to your e-mail adress and whatsapp number used in registration.

Three subjects are chosen for this contest. स्पर्धेसाठी निवडलेले तीन विषय.
1. First Love (पहिले प्रेम)
2. Fear, Helplessness (भीती, असहाय्यता)
3. Freedom in daily life (दैनंदिन जीवनातील स्वातंत्र्य )
Writers can submit maximum 3 stories on any of these subjects.
Fees are as follows:
1. ₹399/- (For 1 story)
2. ₹699/- (For 2 stories)
3. ₹899/- (For 3 stories)
Only UPI Payments will be accepted.
You will receive Payment QR Code with the "Entry Form", which will be sent after you register.
Participant must be Indian national residing in India.
Participant must be 18 years of age or older.
Excluding Story Title & Writer's Name, the words limit for each story is 1600.
Writers should submit original stories written by them.
Total 15 winners will receive prizes worth more than ₹50000/-.
1st Prize- Story will be made into shortfilm. Winner will be felicitated at the screening. Winner will receive prizes worth ₹10000/- and a Memento.
2nd Prize - Winner will receive prizes worth ₹7000/- and a Memento.
3rd Prize - Winner will receive prizes worth ₹4000/- and a Memento.
All 3 winners will be featured in press and social media.
Remaining of the total 15 winners will receive prizes worth ₹2000/-. All 15 winners will also receive certificates.
Participants will receive "Entry Form" and form and story writing guidelines within 3 days after successful resgistration.
